Polemonium caeruleum, known as Jacob’s Ladder, is a graceful perennial with clusters of soft blue, bell-shaped flowers that rise above finely divided, fern-like foliage. Flowering from late spring into early summer, it adds freshness and texture to borders, particularly in lightly shaded areas.

It thrives in moist, well-drained soil and prefers sun or partial shade. For a natural, layered look, plant it with ferns for contrast and Hakonechloa macra for soft movement and golden-green tones that complement its blue blooms.
